Fungal infections are a significant and growing public health problem. We are developing a new platform for sustainable delivery of therapeutic proteins and peptides by encapsulating and delivering a natural live microbiome population to a fungal diseased organ. Our polymeric formulation is postulated to function as a small “factory” that continuously produces and releases anti-fungal agents into the relevant site.
